We are delighted to announce that Dr. Alison Bryant has joined Learning Economy Foundation as Chief Operating Officer (COO). A renowned expert in media, technology, and education, Dr. Bryant has dedicated her career to shaping the future of lifelong learning—spanning from Sesame Street to AARP - and championing inclusive, equitable design in edtech.

With a deep understanding of global learning ecosystems, scaling organizations for impact and sustainability, and multiplatform design and research, Dr. Bryant brings invaluable leadership to Learning Economy Foundation’s mission to transform education and economic mobility through cutting-edge technologies. As COO, she will drive operational strategy and help scale initiatives that empower learners of all ages.
Dr. Bryant most recently served as Chief Research, Education, Data, and Impact Officer at Sesame Workshop, where she led the organization's efforts to align global impact goals and build out new capabilities for data and research. Prior to that, she spearheaded AARP’s Research Center and Technology & Digital Equity social impact area, working to disrupt outdated and inaccurate narratives about aging and bridge the digital divide for older adults. Her expertise also extends to founding PlayScience, a research and design firm that drove innovation for major brands like Microsoft, Disney, Samsung, and Warner Bros; and building the digital research teams at Nickelodeon (Paramount). In her early career, she was an assistant professor of communication at Indiana University and has a Ph.D. in that field from the University of Southern California.
